The Everett Stratocruiserscar club met at Alfy's
Pizza, Silver Lake location.
President Mike Burks brought the meeting to order at 5:05 P.M. Secretary
Bonnie Smith read the minutes of the previous meeting and Mark Thomson gave the
treasurer's report.
News--Our President, Mike Burks is planning on a 2-week European vacation with a
bicycle tour included. On June 1st he will
be getting a knee replacement and will not be able to attend our June
meeting. He will be layed up for about 6 weeks.
Kla-Ha-Yah Days are fast approaching (July
19th, the date). We have 16 cars registered from the applications we sent
out. There are a few changes made in
the trophy selection (no 3rd-place trophies and more specialized trophies).
Electric cars are invited and are on all
fliers. The first place winner from last year will be on our ads. We
have a number
of fliers to hand out (around 500) and have
already distributed a few. The parade (Saturday night) precedes our car
show
and we can participate in it if we want to.
We need to pre-register for the parade and must be lined up at 4:30 for the
parade start at 6:30---hope for good weather!
Tabs for the trailer are due and need to be
replaced before we can use it.
Not enough aluminum cans to turn in yet so
bring 'm in.
Our heart-felt sympathies go out to Mike and Judy Ross and family. The
sudden loss of their daughter, "Chrissie", only 31 years old, "just sucks" like
the pastor said at her service.
President Mike Burks talked at length about the Boeing insurance on our club and
us using their (Boeing) name. He will contact someone at the company and
give us the details.
Here is a list of some of the closer car shows and swap meets for this month and
next:
May 16th & 17th, Monroe swap meet.
May 17th, Spring Fling car show at the Nile
country club.
May 24th & 25th, Cruizin' to Colby, Everett
(Memorial Day week-end).

Vernon.

June 7th, All-Mopar Spring Roundup and Swap,

Mike Smith sold split-the-pot and the lucky winner was Willie Spann.

Respectfully submitted,
Bonnie Smith, Secretary
